School Meals / Cinio Ysgol

We provide a well prepared meal cooked in our own kitchen by our cook Mrs Levi and her team. Our school meals comply with the Welsh Government's 'Appetite for Life' guidelines and comprise of fresh produce. Alternatively, pupils are also welcome to bring in a healthy packed lunch.

In September 2023, following Welsh Government proposals, Caerphilly County introduced Universal Free School Meals (UPFSM) across all primary school pupils.

Families who meet certain criteria, for example those on lower incomes or in receipt of certain benefits, may be eligible to apply for eFSM. Even if you receive a Universal Free School Meal for your child, you should still apply for Free School Meals (eFSM) as this may entitle you to other benefits such as support with purchasing school uniform (School Essential Grant).
